I am married quite undeservedly to my beautiful wife Bethany, and have been blessed with four children. Silas, Shiloh, Lucy, and Atticus. The blessing of Lucy’s life this side of New Creation was tragically cut short on June 5, 2024 and I documented that painful journey on this blog. I had the privilege of serving as the Pastor of Worship and Discipleship at Green Pond Bible Chapel in Rockaway, NJ for around eight years. I now work as a groups facilitator at New Chapter Faith Based Recovery in Parsippany, NJ.
I was born and raised in South Jersey, right outside Philadelphia, which makes me a crazy Philly sports fan and an excellent Jersey driver. I spent 6 years of my life in the wonderful city of Louisville, KY where I received my MDiv from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am a certified Biblical Counselor through the Association of Biblical Counselors and also a Certified Christian Trauma Care Provider (Level 2) through the Christian Trauma Healing Network.
I seek to foster relationships where one can experience inward deepening of the relationship between, God, self, and others through compassionate soul care that is Christ-centered, theologically-saturated, and research-aware. I value authenticity in my relationships, and strive to hold the tension between hope and honesty. I view myself as process-oriented as opposed to results-oriented as I journey alongside others in the discovery process of the true self found in union with Christ. My passions include corporate worship, discipleship, counseling, and song writing. Other hobbies include carving, wood turning, bouldering, soccer, volleyball, reading, paper airplanes, and always trying to improve musically! You’ll find some of those things being blogged about here, all in light of living in the new resurrection life we’ve been provided in Christ through the Spirit.
